A Message from Principal Clauson

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Saltar’s Point Elementary! I would like to welcome both our returning families and those joining our school community for the first time.

This year marks my 14th year as principal, and I continue to feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a supportive school community. Each new school year brings exciting opportunities for students to learn, grow, and build meaningful connections, and we are looking forward to another wonderful year together.

Our staff has been hard at work preparing engaging learning experiences, creating welcoming classroom environments, and ensuring that every student feels valued, supported, and inspired from the very first day of school. Throughout the summer, many of our educators participated in professional learning focused on evidence-based instructional practices that strengthen student learning and academic success.

One of our goals this year is to strengthen the partnership between school and home by increasing opportunities for family involvement. We know that when families are actively engaged in their child's education, students are more successful both academically and socially. Throughout the year, we will offer a variety of events, volunteer opportunities, and ways to connect with your child's learning. We hope you'll join us whenever you can, whether by attending school events, participating in family learning nights, volunteering, or staying connected through regular communication with your child's teacher.
